Jond85
When running CC Cleaner , I get the message that Micrsoft Edge is taking to long to close, and would I like to force it to close . The weird thing is that Edge isnt running (and I rarely use it). Any ideas what could be causing this? Have seen several posts on various forums, that its a known bug, but theyre quite old posts. Moderators Nergal Posted July 1, 2022 Moderators Share Posted July 1, 2022 Edge settings to change: startup boost, run in background. This should stop edge from running at startup and residing in the background. Turning these off should stop ccleaner from saying it's running ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
