Driver Updater Bricks Tablet and Breaks FTDI Com Ports - User Beware!

The Driver Updater is DANGEROUS to use.  I did one update on a Venue 8 Pro tablet, several months ago.  The BIOS update BRICKED it!  It will never work again.  It was old, not a big loss (I had just replaced the battery) but frustrating, nonetheless.

Today I did another driver update on my main CPU and the updater BROKE my USB serial ports that use the FTDI driver.  Not happy!  I had to delete the drivers for the affected ports and reboot the system.  Windows loaded drivers that worked.

I've had it!  I'm going to look for a more reliable, safer to use cleaner.

The Cleaner is safe, just don't use the Driver Updater.
