Linda Ursin
I have the latest available version (5.6.2) of CCleaner for Android on Android 8.0.0. Since the latest update of CCleaner, it tells me to add permission when selecting hidden cache but it's already enabled. Disabling and re-enabling doesn't help. Neither does restarting the app or the phone. So I can't use that cleaning feature anymore. Please fix this.
Moderators Nergal Posted July 2, 2021 Moderators Share Posted July 2, 2021 are you rooted, iirc you need to be rooted for deep cleaning ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Linda Ursin
It worked perfectly fine until the last update of CCleaner. So I doubt it's my phone that's the issue. I am able to set the permission in question. CC just doesn't recognise that it's set anymore.
