Carbonic Posted January 1, 2020 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Hey guys, i'm using ccleaner v 5.53 with Secure file deletion set to (Simple overwrite 1 pass). I ran cleaner with some folders included in the settings, and accidentally deleted some important videos along. I tried to restore them after using multiple tools but came up with ZZZZZs files, and every single file got the same size of its original deleted one. Is there any way or a workaround to restore my files and be able to use them again? any help is so much appreciated. Thanks, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A secure delete with overwrite is intended to overwrite the original file to prevent it being recovered. So it has done what it is supposed to and securely deleted and overwritten the files.
