Glennv
Today I ran CCleaner Free, it took an unusually long time to run, After running I did "analyze", a message appeared "Details of files to be deleted(Note: no files have been deleted yet)". It then gave a list of files to be deleted. Why didn't it remove the files? Do I have to do it manually?
Moderators nukecad Posted June 19, 2019 Moderators Share Posted June 19, 2019 Analyze will just look for files without deleting them, so you can see what is there to be removed. You have to use the other button 'Run Cleaner' to remove files. You don't need to analyze first, just run the cleaner. If files are not being removed then they are probably in use. Make sure that your broswer (or whatever the files are) is not running in the background. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Admin Dave CCleaner Posted June 19, 2019 Admin Share Posted June 19, 2019 Analyze lets you know how much space will be saved and gives you an opportunity to check through just in case there is something that you might actually want to keep. Otherwise, as NukeCad said, you can just go directly to cleaning Piriform Homepage - [CCleaner - CCleaner Mac - CCleaner Android - CCleaner Browser - Recuva - Speccy - Kamo] - Product Support Looking for your licence key, expiry date or download link? Glennv
Thanks. After running CCleaner and looking at Analyze, it shows some files not deleted. By running Cleaner again, the files are deleted.
