Malcolm164
My cameras SD card is corrupted and contains about 4GB of photos. RECUVA free version does not "find them", but a free version of "STELLAR PHOENIX" does so I know they are recoverable. However the free version of STELLAR PHEONIX only allows you to recover 1GB and then I am not able to extract them to my photo files. The paid version of STELLAR PHOENIX is very expensive compared with the professional version of RECUVA. I use other PIRIFORM software so would prefer to stay with the brand. Can any one assure me that RECUVA PROFESSIONAL will work for me? .
Moderators Augeas Posted May 28, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2017 Recuva Professional has the same recovery function as Recuva free, and vice-versa. It's difficult to say what's happening without any details, and of course nobody knows what either software is doing internally. I wouldn't put money on 'I know they are recoverable'. Malcolm164
Hi Augeas, thanks for your thoughts. With STELLAR PHOENIX I can see my pictures, its just that I cannot transfer them unless I pay, so I know they are recoverable. If there is no difference between the free version of RECUVA and the PROFESSIONAL version then whats the point? There must be a difference. Moderators mta Posted May 28, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2017 as to Stellar 'seeing' your lost photos, it could only be showing you the thumbnail portion. there has been similar posts about Recuva, showing what looks like a recoverable picture, only for it to be recovered and there being no said picture.
