login
Greetings from Russia. Sorry for my bad English. I disabled the Internet Explorer in my system. But in the CCleaner menu, this browser is still present. The same applies to the Windows Media Player.
Moderators Nergal Posted March 15, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 15, 2017 While you did remove the web browser (front end), windows and many other programs still can use internet explorer's databases and rendering ability. Windows media player, on the other hand, probably sticks around on ccleaner's list because it left behind either a file or a registry key that ccleaner uses as its detector. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
