Disable warning prompt "Close Internet Explorer"?

Recommended Posts

Since a few weeks/versions when I start CCleaner on 64bit Win 7 a popup appears automatically at startup:

"The following application(s) need to be closed to view cookies:

Internet Explorer

Do you want CCleaner to close them?"

When I click "NO" then another popup appears telling me something about Edge browser.

Why do I have to close Internet Explorer? This was not required in earlier version of CCleaner.

And No, I don't have an Edge browser installed but a simple IntExp 11.

So how can I forever disable these warnings?

Peter

Because microsoft changed the way internet explorer stores it's cache/history/cookies ie must be closed now before cleaning. As far as Edge, you shouldn't get that warning unless you're on Windows 10, you state your computer is windows 7, can you screenshot the edge warning on a windows 7 pc

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
