ccw62
I think Piriform should add the hashcodes on their site. After installing my AV-software gets a warning 'The program has been changed' File: ccsetup500.exe 4,92 MB (5.165.056 bytes) C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner64.exeHashes of the application executable file (CCleaner64.exe):MD5: 18EE6C694976C4D205AF24D6CCE3B660SHA-1: 8A209FE458BA34365673F9F37DFB40A464ED90AFVerified information according to the digital certificate of the executable file (CCleaner64.exe):Company: Piriform LtdCertificate authority: VeriSign Class 3 Code Signing 2010 CAValid from: 2013-06-25 01:00:00 **** On following is listed. Title: CCleaner 5.00.5050Filename: ccsetup500.exeFile size: 4.92MB (5,162,080 bytes)Requirements: Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / Windows7 / XP64 / Vista64 / Windows7 64 / Windows8 / Windows8 64Languages: Multiple languagesLicense: FreewareDate added: November 25, 2014Author: Piriformwww.piriform.comHomepage: www.piriform.com/ccleanerMD5 Checksum: 038B75662205880BE56A8FFA9930F830 Now what? Having this warning popup in front of me, but do not know what to do. If Piriform would have added the hash-codes I could have been sure. --
Moderators Andavari Posted November 28, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) +1 I totally agree! Having the hash codes (at least MD5 and SHA-1) listed on the downloads is an important security measure. Edit: Moved this topic to Suggestions.
