grimmersb
I have a 1 TB disk which was inadvertently formatted by the HP recovery process. Note to others - beware: I subsequently found out that it recoveres ALL the available drives, not just the boot disk (so you need to remove the others before starting). I have downloaded the free version and recovered to the allowed 100 MB limit. This included several XLR files (Works spreadsheet) and sime FBR files (Blueberry Screen capture recodings). I cannot open any of the recovered files - they all fail sayinhg the file is either not the correct one or is corrupted. I would also like to recover MAB files (Mozilla Address Book) but this does not seem to be supported. Does the fact that I am using the free version have any bearing on this? Moderators hazelnut Posted May 19, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 19, 2014 Are you talking about Recuva? http://www.piriform.com/recuva/builds Because there is no 100MB limit on the recovery of files even in the free version. The paid version difference is that you can get support direct from Piriform the makers of Recuva. Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
