mwr
Win 7, ccleaner 4.11. At some point, the recent versions of ccleaner started removing my browser (FF and IE) history and cookies regardless of the options I checked (can't remember the exact options, though). I want to keep those instead of having them cleaned. How do I get that to happen?
Moderators Andavari Posted March 19, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) You untick/uncheck in CCleaner these items labeled: * History - for Internet Explorer. * Internet History - for most other browsers such as Firefox (and Firefox clones), Google Chrome (and Google Chrome clones), etc. * Cookies - should be the same for most browsers. To keep your last download location/history so your browser(s) remember where to save download files: * Last Download Location - for Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome (and Google Chrome clones). * Download History - for Firefox (and Firefox clones), and Google Chrome (and Google Chrome clones). mwr
Thanks. I thought I did that the last two times, but can't really be sure. I'll do those things carefully the next time and report back.
Moderators Andavari Posted March 20, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2014 That's if unticking those work for you, some people have reported unticking some things makes no difference.
