razz
I created a folder on my desktop yesterday and now I wish to delete it. A notice popped-up, that has never happened in the past, stating that that I need permission from me. In other words, it is my computer and I am signed in as me and this notice is telling me that I need permission from that person, which is me! Any ideas how to solve this mystery? Moderators hazelnut Posted August 19, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 19, 2013 A couple of simple things to try first razz. Reboot and try again. Boot into safe mode and try. Make an empty folder and drag and drop file into it and try deleting 'empty' folder. Or use Unlocker http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/ Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
razz
TY hazel for your reply. I had tried everything (except Unlocker) before posting. I downloaded Unlocker as per your recommnedation and that didn't work either. However, I solved the puzzle. I had previously put the contents of the folder into a locked folder but I didn't think this would cause the original folder to be impossible to delete. So to solve my problem I unlocked the previous contents of the folder and then I was able to delete the original folder. Thanks for your time hazel. Have a great day!
