martyn63
I have just noticed that the System Restore feature doesn't work even in the latest version. It fails to list all the current restore points even though they exist because I have checked using System Restore via the Control Panel. I have used this feature many times in the past in CCleaner and only just noticed that it doesn't work in the latest version and also the previous version. kroozer
Worked ok for me just now. Listed all and I deleted the oldest of seven points, then oldest of six points. CCleaner 4.04, Win7 x64
Moderators Nergal Posted August 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2013 os version? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. nodles
CCleaner version? Portable or installed? Have you waited long enough (sometimes takes time to show the restore points in CCleaner)?
Moderators Nergal Posted August 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2013 (edited) IIRC there's a service that needs to be enabled to see points in XP but I can't remember what it is DCOM service http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=36319entry218444 Edited August 4, 2013 by Nergal ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
