Moderators Andavari Posted April 9, 2013 Moderators Share Posted April 9, 2013 Some Microsoft install packages and especially those from the Microsoft Update website will typically store the temporary setup files on the hard disk with the most free space available in a randomly created temporary folder name. It's usually a hidden folder in the root of a hard disk (not necessarily on the C: drive if you have another hard disk or hard disk partition with more free space available). Examples: H:\ebuegipsbleagesylntcy P:\qwmiytenfpuytrsxzxnhji
Moderators DennisD Posted April 13, 2013 Moderators Share Posted April 13, 2013 Hi monish, and welcome to Piriform. It might help in your search for unusual folders, as suggested by Andavari, if you do it with "Treesize". Treesize: (Freeware Portable Version) This will show the location and size of every folder (including hidden folders), on whichever hard drive you select. Hope that helps.
