ramtodatry
My boot drive (C drive is 100 GB). No personal files stored on this drive - only system and program files, etc. Defraggler aborts, when defragging this partition. I even run Windows Defragmenter first, and invariably Defraggler will abort. Any ideas, or suggestion. Defragmentation might be a few 100 or few thousand files - approx 5% max fragmentation. Sometimes only a few files. If a file is open, should'nt Defraggler just skip the open files and move on to the rest and complete/ Thanks.
Moderators Nergal Posted February 16, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2013 (edited) os version? 5% is probably system files. You will notice no difference at all between 0% and 5% your worrying over nothing and over-defragmenting your drive trying to "fix" what's not broken Edited February 16, 2013 by Nergal ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
