Range Rider
This is really a nifty feature, so a few suggestions....... • How about the ability to save the results (to some file) within Defraggler? for future comparisons... • How about some analysis of this value, advising "performance?" • How about some type of "pop Up" indicating how to improve this value? • How about a before and after values? Moderators Nergal Posted January 24, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) The Developers read all threads and consider all viable suggestions, so in their proxy I thank you for yours, However I've some queries what would comparisons of fragmentation (a random and often shuffled temporary placement of bits)1 Individual file fragmentation occurs when a single file has been broken into multiple pieces (called extents on extent-based file systems). While disk file systems attempt to keep individual files contiguous, this is not often possible without significant performance penalties. File system check and defragmentation tools typically only account for file fragmentation in their "fragmentation percentage" statistic. What is "value" that you mention in the last three points? What can a defragmenting programtell you about performance? 1https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_system_fragmentation#Cause Edited January 24, 2013 by Nergal Whoops quoted wrong kind of fragmrntation ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
