kylesteve
On my laptop with windows 7 running, I downloaded ccleaner. Everytime I run it though, it gets to 5% and stops. It doesn't move. I've left it overnight to try and clean and it just stays there. Maybe 6 months ago it was working perfectly fine. I keep up to date with the updates, I need help, I want to know whats wrong! Moderators DennisD Posted November 13, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 13, 2012 Hi kylesteve, and welcome to the forum. When it sticks at 5%, can you see in the display window beneath the progress bar what it's sticking at?
driver
driver I've had the same problem. It will stop at different spots. Starts at 15 or 20% so I restart it and it goes a little further and cancells. It has taken me many restarts and all night to finish. Forgot to add it always happens when its wiping the free space on the c drive
kroozer
. . . it always happens when its wiping the free space on the c drive I suggest you untick ☐wipe free space during routine cleaning. If you want to wipe the free space do it independently by right-clicking it and clean.

Leguar
FWIW: A DLL (PPCRLUI) can be the problem (http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/16632-folder-shared-other-people.html) I have had this problem... CCleaner starts looping at 30% - and never end. PPCRLUI is a Windows Mail DLL. I deleted all these TEMP files (after closing Windows Mail) - and CCleaner start working again.
