new pc

win 7 64 bit home prem

asus mobo- p8 z77-v

ccleaner - v3.21.1767

running the cleaner mode.

have not changed any setting - so not sure if a box to check under windows or applications.

i do not see the error until after a reboot.

i can only guess the log file has to do with my mother board as the in the upper left of the error msg, it says "asussetup"

i have used ccleaner on other win 7 (also with an asus board) but have never seen this before.

attachments:

firsrt is of the error msg

2nd is the temp folder with what i think is the highlighted log file.

any suggestions? thanks.

I would say to exclude it from cleaning, run an analysis on just temp files (right click "windows temp files") then in the results right click and add to excluded files

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

so far so good.

Good not delete the individual files within the folder, but was able to delete the folder itself.

Will give it a few days and if any think odd happens, guess will Merge that item back in the registry and then ask for more guidance.

In meantime - thanks.
