Defrags When No Files Shown Fragmented?

I have defragged all the files that were shown on the File List. Started normal defrag and File List showed No Files To Be Defragged. However, the normal defrag operation shows 1,334 fragmented files and DeFragger shows it will run for an hour. I can understand the 1334 files if it is showing those I excluded. However, why does it run for an hour when the File List shows no fragmented files?

. . . why does it run for an hour when the File List shows no fragmented files?

My guess is that although you've coalesced the files so they are not fragmented, Defraggler estimates it will take some time to consolidate them at the beginning of the drive.

I don't bother with partition defrag — file defrag is good enough for me. Some blank space between files will not affect performance, and the disk controller will eventually fill in that space anyhow.
