The Dude
Defraggler v.2.09.391 Windows XP Pro 32bit Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0 GHz 4 GB Ram Turn off hard disks: Never System Standby: Never Hard Drive: WD Black Caviar 1.5TB SATA Used: 720GB 52% Free: 677GB 48% Current Fragmentation: 6% Status: Defragmenting: 2% Remaining Time: > 1 day Defraggler has been running for about 12 hours and wants more than another day to finish. Is this normal? I have a slow computer, but I'm still surprised at how long this is taking.
kroozer
I have a slow computer, but I'm still surprised at how long this is taking. Your 7200 rpm HDD is fast, but the weakness is an old system, slow CPU, and having to defrag 1.5TB. Expect a long defrag time unless you opt for the speedier file defrag. Tick ☑ Filename and click Defrag Checked. I encourage repartitioning, so that each smaller volume can be defragged or wiped as needed, thus saving time.
