luik
The position of the icons in the desktop isn't saved when you shutdown the computer via the CCleaner option (/AUTO /SHUTDOWN or right-clicking the icon in the system tray and choosing to turn off when done). When you start the computer again the icons will be where they were before organizing. Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Browsing with Opera browser elegance and mastery. nodles
Weird. Which CCleaner version? Does the positions stay if you shutdown/reboot "normally" (without running CCleaner)?
Winapp2.ini
Organize them, log out, log in and /auto/shutdown. Sometimes, explorer doesn't quit.. gracefully. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
luik
Don't you think I tested this before posting? Yes, it saves when I turn off / log out normally, but when I use CCleaner /AUTO /SHUTDOWN it doesn't save the new positions of my icons... Browsing with Opera browser elegance and mastery. nodles
Have you tried latest CCleaner which got released today? Are you using 1 monitor or more? How about running CCleaner "normally" without commands and then reboot?

It'd be interesting to know if this is affecting you too or only me. Are you using 1 monitor or more?1. How about running CCleaner "normally" without commands and then reboot? It saves the positions. It's CCleaner that isn't shutting down Windows in the right way. :| Browsing with Opera browser elegance and mastery.
