Super Fast Posted October 24, 2011 Share Posted October 24, 2011 Do any of you recommend a good soundcard for Windows 7? Under XP, I used Creative 512 card, & it rocked. Clean treble, clean bass. But 7 will not recognize the card, & no drivers for 7 on their site. Trouble I have, is the onboard sound is muddy & bass heavy, but the Rockfish card I got has a 10 band software EQ & sounds muddy as well. Can anyone tell me a card that has great audio under Windows 7? I want something on par with my old creative card. Thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Habbakuk Posted October 24, 2011 Share Posted October 24, 2011 So it's the soundcard that has problems? I had being using an old Dell under XP for years, great sound quality. Upgraded recently to a top-of-the-line Toshiba with Windows 7, and the sound is atrocious, absolutely horrible, and quiet. I figured it must be something to do with Toshiba, but is it really due to the operating system? I would think the soundcard would work the same under XP or Windows 7.
