compost
I recently updated Speccy to the latest version. Installation appeared successful, but as the application opens and Speccy starts to populate the parameters, the applications crashes. This is on a notebook running 32 bit Windows 7. I also updated Speccy on my desktop which is running 64 bit Windows 7 and the application runs fine. I tries uninstalling and reinstalling on the notebook, but Speccy still crashes. I reverted back to the previous version and all is well again. Any thoughts?
Moderators Nergal Posted October 21, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2011 PLease install the latest version and run speccy in debug mode In your windows run box type (Including the quote marks) "c:\program files\speccy\speccy.exe" /debug replace c:\program files\speccy with the location of your speccy if it is different we'll start with everthing checked when it crashes open the install folder (c:\program files\speccy\ or your location) locate the log file created and attach it to this topic. I've closed your other topic. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Moderators Nergal Posted October 21, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2011 Thanks, The developers read each and every thread so they'll give a look at your logs. Also if you still have them, hold on the the .dmp file if one is created when you run debug. they may need those too.
