redhawk
Download and burn a copy of Hiren's boot CD and then Boot the CD using Mini XP mode. I believe CCleaner is already included in the distro however you could run it from a flash drive. Richard S.
Alan_B
can i install CCleaner on the external harddisk and use it to clean my computer or does it need to be installed on the internal harddisk? I see no problem INSTALLING on an external HDD, and believe the registry will be suitably adjusted. No need for a Boot CD (I have never yet had success with Hiren's Boot CD.) I prefer to UNZIP the Portable version to a separate partition that is dedicated to things I wish to survive a Patch Tuesday fiasco that destroys C:\, and that has survived TWO separate fiascos in the last 4 months. In theory, and in over 5 years experience, Portable CCleaner any where but C:\ is the way to go.
