bege
Hi, in the advanced settings there is an option to delete files in the Windows temp folder only when they are older than 24 hours. This option is missing for the local data temp folder. Result: The FreeCommander freeware explorer, which writes it's temp data in this folder, needs to be restarted after cleaning with CCleaner. Please add this option to the advanced settings. Thank you. My system: Windows XP SP3
Moderators Andavari Posted February 19, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 19, 2011 FreeCommander freeware explorer, which writes it's temp data in this folder, needs to be restarted after cleaning with CCleaner. You'll need to add in an Exclusion so CCleaner will leave that temp data alone, how to do it: 1. Start CCleaner. 2. Click Options->Exclude 3. Click Add, then input the relevant data, i.e.; if it stores its temp data into a sub-folder inside of the Temp folder exclude it. If it's only files inside of Temp exclude them. After doing that CCleaner will never remove those files again. Another solution, which I do with a program I use that creates temp files is to go into the program settings and give it its own unique temp folder location. I don't know if your program allows this, however if it does a folder like this would help you, then probably no disk cleaning software would detect it: C:\FreeCommander_Temp
