tecmec
Does CCleaner have a log file anywhere? Or is there any other way to check what (or how much) was cleaned when running CCleaner by use of the /auto flag? Thanks, Brad
Moderators Nergal Posted February 8, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 8, 2011 A log, of that type, would pretty much defeat the purpose of ccleaner to remove junk (such as logs) after a clean you can right click the results and save them to a file, but that's pretty much the only way. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. I realize the irony of my request . However, I call ccleaner.exe /auto from a script that I have created, and I'm just looking for a way to allow the script to harvest this sort of data out of CCleaner. Is there any other way I could go about doing this? Thanks, Brad

Wheels3572
To add to that and follow up on that I have a similar question just not as a script. My question (which I already think i know this answer from reading this topic) is there any log file at all if you do a scheduled clean where it is on a schedule. I myself as well would like to see what was cleaned during the scheduled cleaning. Willie
Guest johnccleaner
There is no log generated from a scheduled clean, for the reason Nergal brought up in his original post.
