timmib Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Greetings, I have noticed on two machine I have there is a message about remote procedure call server not available. One machine is a netbook running win xp home; the other, an msi box running windows xp pro sp2. My main box has no problems and is a gigabyte mb running xp pro sp2. Non of the machines have .net or anything particularly exotic; each runs any s/w I've put on them. I have played with various ms xp services to no effect. What should I be looking for. redhawk Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 RPC is a system service if you're getting errors regarding this then "Start", "Run, "services.msc" and make sure "Remote Procedure Call(RPC)" is set to "Automatic" and "Started".
