pemotec
I am using Ccleaner for quite awhile, but now something irritates me. It wasn?t allway so but now if I "Analize", it shows for example 240 MB to be removed. If I then use "Cleaner" it tells me it has only removed 40 MB. If I use "Analize" again it doesn`t find anything to be removed. The PC here runs Windows XP SP3. I have Ccleaner with the same settings also on another PC with Windows Vista x64. There the difference between "to be removed" und "removed" is minimal, if any at all. What might be the reason for this strange behavior?
Moderators Nergal Posted October 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2010 you, probably, have your internet browser (or some other program) set to delete its temporary files at exit. These are, probably, being removed between analysis and clean ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
