TAGIT
I could be on the wrong track or am missing something but it would be great to place files that change size quite regularly, in areas where the disk can keep the file contiguous when the size changes. In other words have free space around certain types of files (maybe of a certain size) when they are defragmented. eg Photoshop, Illustrator etc suite of programs can create files in the order of 100Mb etc, get a few hundred of these and the drive becomes quickly fragmented no matter how much free space there is. I do defragment the drive already but the size of the file changes and bang it's fragmented again. Just an idea - I know other files could be added into this free space around the file but might be worth testing??
