Dennis Teunissen
Hello fellow Piriform community members, I have a suggestion for Speccy ! Speccy is a fine tool to check what's under your computer's hood but maybe it's possible to build in some form of driver-detection with an driver-updater? It would be nice to get some feedback on this topic so please react . Kind regards, Dennis Teunissen
ishan_rulz
As DennisD has said somewhere, Driver updating softwares are not really worth it. You should only update when you know your currently installed driver is really 'screwed' or not working or something similar. Updating drivers could cause undesired results as well. Simplicity is hard.
Dennis Teunissen
I don't fully agree to your point. I know that it isn't recommended to update drivers that are working properly but I think that it'll be handy to update drivers trough Speccy when I experience problems with the installed drivers. So that's why I made the suggestion .

So that's why I made the suggestion . it would be nice to at least know what the current driver is, lets not set the bar too off in the distance... i think telling us our version vs current is fine. speccy is just specs, its not ment to update anything... that would be a different product we would love to see in the future from Piriform but otherwise shouldn't be expected of speccy. And yes indeed, Speccy is for system specs, I completely understand that .
