Ultimate Predator
I've got it, and I must say that I love it. However, just have two questions: Where is the equivalent to Microsoft Office's Page Properties in which you can change all the margin settings and aditional bits? How can you get rid of the autoformating annoyance of when you type 1) and some text - press enter - and then 2) automatically comes up indented? I really don't want this. Cheers. Eldmannen
This OpenOffice really sounds great. I would use it if I had use for an Office suite, but I dont. The only thing I need is Notepad.
Moderators rridgely Posted October 16, 2005 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2005 In writer its Format>Page and Format>Paragraph depending on what you need to change. I'm not 100% sure about the auto format one but I think its tools>auto correct>options tab. If this isnt it I will try to help you find how to disable it. Ultimate Predator
You were right about the first, but still need help on auto format, please? Also, how do you make it so in the footer, that there is page numbering, if you type Page Number: 1 in the footer, all the other pages end up as 1 as well. Help? Moderators rridgely Posted October 16, 2005 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2005 To insert a page number open up your footer or header and put the cursor there. Now go to insert>Fields>Page number. I cant figure out how to get rid of autoformating. I'm still looking for this but if I cant find it I will ask the people at the openoffice forum. I'm a member but I only posted twice there.
Moderators rridgely Posted October 16, 2005 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2005 Nevermind I found how to get rid of auto formats. Go to Format>Auto Format> Uncheck the while typing box. I found this really good openoffice 2.0 guide here: http://oooauthors.org/en/en/authors/userguide2 You might want to book mark it.
