scotty
I run CCleaner weekly but it does not seem to clear all the data in my IE cache. Is CCleaner suppose to do the same thing as if I went to IE's Tools, Internet Options, Delete, and check all boxes to delete all browsing history (temporary internet files, cookies, history, form data, passwords, InPrivate filtering data) ? Moderators hazelnut Posted May 27, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 27, 2010 What is your operating system? Is there a particular item you notice that you think isn't getting cleaned? scotty
Running XP Pro. How can I check which item is not cleared? The issue has been with Yahoo mail. Everytime I have a problem and contact them they tell me to clear my IE cache and then Yahoo mail works correctly for a while. When I manually clear the IE cache, a small window opens that indicates data is being deleted. Sometimes that window is open for a second or two. Other times it may stay open for 30-40 seconds. I have the box checked in IE8 that says "Empty temporary internet folder when browser closed" but that seems to do nothing.
ishan_rulz
See the picture above, does CCleaner clean them when you "Run CCleaner". Simplicity is hard.
