Ren2010
Hello. Unfortunately this new version, (v2.31.1153), suffers from the same problem as the previous version. It doesn't delete the broswer history. I'm using IE8 on a Windows 7 64bit pc. CCleaner goes through all the motions, but whenever I reopen a browser window and click the downward arrow at the end of the Address Bar, all sites that I have previously visited are being displayed. 2 versions ago this was not a problem. Thanks.
ishan_rulz
Under Internet Explorer in the 'Windows' Tab, is the "Recently Typed URLs" checked? OR if you mean the "Autocomplete Form History"... Simplicity is hard.
Moderators Nergal Posted May 4, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2010 i think this maybe a x64bit question I think that because the IE detect is HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer it may only be seeing one of the two ie browsers on the machine. . . thatg said I don't do 64bit so i can't investigate this ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
