vsoy
On the download page, it says ccleaner can be used for Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 and 98. Does anyone know if it works for Windows2000Server OS? Thanks!
Ishi
Well you can still try CCleaner on Windows 2000 Server. But maybe, you have to use the older CCleaner versions. Or you can try the PORTABLE build that you can actually install to a USB from this link. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds I love computer maintenance tasks. Some of my favorite programs: Wordpad -basic word processing Notepad - temporary clipboard and basic scripting module Windows Media Player 12- video, music and online radio player Windows Media Center - live TV, local FM radio CCleaner- handy computer maintenance tool If something fails to work after using the registry cleaner, use SYSTEM RESTORE. Moderators Nergal Posted April 16, 2010 Moderators Share Posted April 16, 2010 server 2000 os and windows client 2000 are one and the same as far as compatiblilty just less features in the latter, you should have no issue running on 2000 (though I thought 98 wasn't supported by ccleaner any more (I had to use 1.x on my 98 VM ) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
