Sal443 Hello, and welcome to the forum CCleaner is safe to use, But when it comes to cleaning the registry it's down to the user to stay safe. Might be best to stay clear of it until your more comfortable with it. But if you must the registry will ask you if you want to back up when you go to remove items as longas its checked to do so in settings. No fate but what we make

Moderators Andavari Posted January 27, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 27, 2010 how do I back up my regsiter before I start. 1. Download and install ERUNT (100% clean freeware), it automatically makes known good daily registry backups. ERUNT can save your system via its registry backup when System Restore fails to restore your system to a previous state! 2. Manually make a System Restore Point.
