Tom AZ
What is the safest and easiest way to search the registry for old uninstalled proram remnants? Is Regedit about the only way to tackle this? I have numerous uninstalled apps still showing up in my CCleaner Application list, so there must be registry leftovers. marmite
There must be loads of programs for searching the registry if that's what you're after; I can recommend nirsoft's RegScanner as one such utility.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll check this one out. Can you delete whatever entries it finds directly from within RegScanner -- or do you have to open Regedit -- one entry at a time? Double-click what RegScanner lists to have it open RegEdit to that exact location.
