Moderators Nergal Posted November 16, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 16, 2009 CCleaner does not remove any restore points, unless you use the restore point section of ccleaner (Under tools) and even then removes any except for the latest Restore point ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. kroozer
so it looks as though i have to keep looking for the answers You may have accidentally disabled system restore. Control Panel>Backup and Restore Center>Tasks>Create a restore point or change settings>System Properties>System Protection. Under Available Disks you must have your System drive ticked.
