Their isnt really anything you can do about it. When you delete data off of your pc it isnt actually removed right away. Its just marked for deletion untill another program will use that space to overwrite its data. It's less than 0.5MB and doesn't have to be installed; it can be run from a floppy or a USB memory stick. It recovers files quickly but shredding files can take a long time. Eraser 5.7 (Heidi Computers Ltd) offers more shredding options but doesn't have a recovery function. Both are freeware. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Restoration can recover a file if it's deleted and emptied from the Recycle Bin, or deleted by an app like CCleaner. Once a file has been shredded by Restoration, Eraser or the like, software recovery methods shouldn't work.
