Ronnie
I've run CCleaner several times, and it stops at 98% completed although it indicates that "Advnaced Wipe free space" is 100% completed - it seems to never complete the full program - my choices are to cancel the scan or to beging a new scan. Several attemps to scan results in the same issue..

gtpforever
I also have been just getting stuck when cleaning. It sits on the free space part of the cleaning and never moves from 98%. I have left it sit for days to see if it completes but it never does. I use Windows XP Pro. Hope this can get fixed so it completes like it is supposed to be. Thanks Troy

ePost
Running CCleaner and Defraggler regularly is always a good idea. This might very well help. But if something is blocking your access you should also scan for malware. Microsoft runs a free online scanner that is very useful. It's a bit difficult to change language because it redirects to the wrong site but it's necessary to scan in the same language as one's OS. I'm afraid we can't really do much. It's a bug and CCleaner's developers are looking into it. It will undoubtedly be corrected in an update very soon. CCleaner's staff wrote above that they are dealing with it already. I informed the developers via pm of your problem. As you can see in post number 5 of this thread, MrT one of the Piriform staff said they were looking into it. Hopefully the devs may be able to do something about your issue. I don't apologise for telling the spam poster he was banned. We got LOTS of spam posts, some are deleted, some are left with the spam links removed and a comment to let members know that we do try our best to keep the forum spam free.
