chambers65
Hi in the ccleaner cleaner section there are numerous unchecked boxes for cleaning in both system and advanced. I am using vista home premium SP1 does any one have siggestions for which boxes to select to clean out the most clutter and create free space? Moderators Augeas Posted July 11, 2009 Moderators Share Posted July 11, 2009 To clear out the most clutter then tick all of the boxes. However you might wish to keep some of the data that will be removed this way, passwords, window sizing and position, autofill entries etc. I would go with the standard defaults, which are a reasonable comrpomise between clearing out and usability. You can always experiment with the other settings later.
Aethec
Don't tick "Wipe Free space". Unless you have really important data erased on your Hard Drive, of course. Piriform French translator

"Wipe free space" will make deleted data unrecoverable. Looking around the Piriform documentation site might help you decide what to mark for cleaning.
