Newbie User Posted July 6, 2009 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Hi, I am trying to use Recuva to recover files from a partially overwritten hard drive, using a USB thumb drive. I have added the file portable.dat as per the wiki. Using the wizard I have run the program and selected certain files to be recovered. When I click on the recover button, I am prompted to select a location for recovery, but no choices are given. I click on make new folder and the program does not respond. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
