Win XP SP3 Windows reboots instantly Can't get to safe mode or any other mode.

Windows won't boot after I ran ccleaner.

I can't boot in any mode: Neither safe/safe with networking/ start windows normally/ start last known good boot etc , etc, I've tried them all.

Windows seems to start to boot up up then it instantly reboots. I think there is a flash of a blue screen before it reboots.

After installing a running CCleaner I ran the analyze cleaned everything.

Then I cleaned the registry. I had to do it 6 times each time I saved the registry and it cleaned more things until it found nothing to clean.

Then I edited the start up and removed some items, Yahoo, adobe update, palm sync, quicktime update, something for an hp printer monitor.

Then I rebooted.

What should I do?

Oh, sorry, just read your title, WinXP.

Did you select extra stuff from the Advanced section?

Did you know what yo were cleaning when you were using the Registry Cleaner.

What version of CCleaner are you using?

Simplicity is hard.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Did you select extra stuff from the Advanced section?

No just used the default stuff.

Did you know what yo were cleaning when you were using the Registry Cleaner.

There were about 600 items to be cleaned. I didn't know what each of them were.

What version of CCleaner are you using?

I downloaded and installed the latest version as of yesterday. June 25, 2009

Is your cd a one that came with the computer and restores it to factory default, or is it a ''real'' xp cd?

If you have a reall xp cd

here is some info

It doesn't look good.

I have a real windows xp disk

I boot from the cd.

I choose repair.

I try the chkdsk c: /r

And it replies ... after along time checking

52% ... Your disk has unrecoverable problems....

I try chkdsk c: /r again

and this time it gets to

62% ... Your disk has unrecoverable problems...

So I reboot and and during the first post SMART says that my drive failure is imminent and I should backup ...

I try recover again and this time it takes a long time to even detect the disk...

It looks like my computer disk drive is saying goodbye..

Sorry to hear that it's likely to be your hard drive failing. :(

If you have anything you need off the drive get a mate to download a livecd for you and see if it's able to see your drive and copy over any pictures, music etc that you have on there.
