Nick C
Tried installing both 2.15 and 2.16, and in both cases, the setup hangs my PC. This is repeatable, and damn frustrating! The initial dialog appears with the choice of language, and upon clicking OK on that dialog, everything stops. The mouse pointer freezes in place, Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work, the only way out is a hard reset. The strange thing is that there is still activity in the background. I can still ping the box from somewhere else, and there is still disk activity from time to time. However leaving the machine for several hours doesn't free it up. OS Windows 2000 SP4, PC Pentium III 512MB RAM (yes I know, don't laugh). Edit: forgot to say this happens with both the full and slim versions. Off to try the portable one now... Any ideas? The portable version runs just fine, so I don't really have a problem any more. Until I discovered this forum, I didn't know it existed, so my problem has been resolved by a roundabout route. Good day to you too
