midiplay
I've just installed CCleaner v2.12.660 - In Registry, I did "Scan for Issues", then highlighted some issues, then "Fix selected issues", then "Fix All Selected Issues". But it fixed all the issues, not just the selected ones. Fortunately, I had done a backup and got everything back, but this is a bug.
Jamin4u
Hello midiplay, and welcome to the forum. It may only appear that CCleaner fixed all the issues. Did you "Scan for Issues" again, after "Fix all selected issues"? Online Documentation...CCleaner
Moderators Nergal Posted October 26, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 26, 2008 actually I think that the answer is here then highlighted some issues is this what you did? picture 1 you should have unchecked them not highlighted them picture 2 Hopefully you told it to backup ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Jamin4u
Nice pick up on the word highlighted Nergal. If thats the case, its another example of the need to read the CCleaner guide before running the program. Online Documentation...CCleaner
midiplay
actually I think that the answer is here ... Hopefully you told it to backup You're absolutely right, I hadn't noticed the difference between "highlighted" and "selected". I'm sorry for saying that it was bug. Yes I did do a backup first, and I'll make sure that I always do - as you say "you never know what you'll break if you don't". Thanks for you help.
