When I go into registry and scan for issues there was an issue in the MUI cache, which was part of a virus that I had encountered and had fixed. It is gone from my side of the computer but not my husbands. The problem is that it keeps coming up in the registry issues and I do not want to fix it, I want to delete it. Is there anyway that I can delete the items in the MUI cache in the registry or send the issue to you? If anyone knows what to do please post it for me or email me.

Thanks Pattycakebakersman

If that infection keeps showing up in MUICache I'd think it's probably still active on the system, therefore you should follow this here.

As for MUICache locations there's two I know of:

  1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache
  2. HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache
