CDS
OS: Windows XP-Media center ed. Is there such thing as an audio virus? I keep hearing these sounds at any given time(browser open or not/no music applications running). Sometimes its music, sometimes sounds like advertising, and sometimes it's a splash of water sound. I've scanned with the lastest version of Norton(found some trojans that were removed), i've also run CCleaner and ad-aware many times. What else should i do?? Humpty
You could try scans with MBAM and SAS which should be beneficial.
Winapp2.ini
Oh, I've had this once. It often played the Mr. T World of Warcraft advert, it was rather annoying. Its not eaisly removed if I recall D: Its not an audio virus though, its a virus that launches browser advertisements beneath or behind the GUI, it hijacked my internet explorer. Can be stopped for a while by ending the browser process in task manager though its not recommended ending processes through there. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
