semitar
Good afternoon everyone. I have recently aquired a pc and have cleaned it up using CCleaner. I wondering weather CCleaner will clean up any McAfee log files, i am assuming McAfee keep log files. If anyone can answer this i would be greatful. arejfour
In V3.08.1475 CCleaner now gives you the option of cleaning McAfee log files. I contacted McAfee about this and their answer was not to delete the files until they've had an opportunity to see what kind of McAfee files CCleaner is scanning. So, better to be safe then sorry, and uncheck that application.

I consider it prudent to honour their recommendation whilst they are protecting you. It is also prudent to consider whether each and every virus and other malware will cut through McAfee defenses like a hot knife through butter, if they cannot even protect themselves from the gentle embrace of CCleaner.
