NotMe
Hello On the "General" tab of the "Options" in MS Word 2003 there is a checkbox to control whether MSWord starts in "Allow starting in reading layout" As far as I can tell CCleaner checks this option when it is cleaning up MS Office. I think this is a bug to change user selected options. Can this be fixed? Thanks NM
Moderators Andavari Posted March 18, 2008 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2008 I think this is a bug to change user selected options. Can this be fixed? The only solution is to untick the cleaning of Office in CCleaner to keep your settings, otherwise they'll get wiped out with the cleaning of Office Do a forum search for Word and/or Office and you'll see a good sized amount of other posts about the Word settings getting wiped out, it isn't nothing new and pops up from time to time from people not expecting their settings to be removed. Thanks for your quick reply -- seems like it's an undocumented feature rather than a bug. NM

Unticking Office in CCleaner does not appear to fix this - any other ideas? Thanks. NM
