New_Age
hello there, i went out to wal-mart and bought me a Logitech Quickcam Express. after installing the software/drivers (and plugging in the cam in the process of installing) the video part works but not the Mic. i've searched different forums and i found nothing helpful. Note i'm on is the Toshiba Satellite A 105-S4004. idk... what's wrong or what i'm doing wrong. i tried different USB ports but no go. the device doesn't show under the Souns and Sound Devices within Control Panel Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Edition | COOLER MASTER Centurion 590 with 4 120mm Blue LED FANS 1 Regular 120MM FAN and a Custom Window Side Panel | AMD Athlon II x4 2.6GHZ Stock| XIGMATEK HDT-S963 92mm | ASRock A780GXE/128 | G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) @800MHZ | CF 2 XFX 4850 1GB @GPU940/MEM1005 | 320GB/OS 160GB/Storage HDDs | LG CD/DVD SATA | Rosewill 600W 2 12v Rail@44 | Ccleaner, Defraggler | Malwarebytes', SUPERAnti-Spyware | Avira AntiVir Personal | Google Chrome v3/4, IE8
TheFiresInTheSky
It may be the drivers. Try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, go to control panel. Click on sounds and audio devices. Click on audio, and under sound recording is where you have to set it. Check the drop down menu to be sure that's set right, then click on volume. Make sure the microphone, or line in is selected. (That's what I do when it plugs right into the mic input.) If the mic plugs in via USB, the settings in the camera software must be set right. Then do the previous step.
