I have Vista and when I run CCleaner 39.502, it simply closes down - whether I run the simple clean, or the 7 times overwrite. I've never had this problem on previous versions, and it really is incredibly frustrating Let's hope the bug can be resolved, otherwise the CCleaner is pointless - at least on my computer.
